Spirituality from Daily Word: “Grateful” (Espiritualidad de la Palabra Diaria: “Gratitud”)

Grateful

I live a life of gratitude.

Expressing gratitude is essential to my spiritual practice. No matter where I go or what I do, I take time to give thanks. Feeling grateful throughout the day keeps me focused on my blessings and the presence of God in and through all things.

Today I will pause to feel grateful for everyone and everything that has helped make my journey what it is. I will let those in my life know just how much their presence means to me and how grateful I am for them.

I will continue to practice the presence of God by centering my thoughts every few moments with prayers of gratitude and thanksgiving. These thoughts help me rise above whatever I may be facing, and give me a feeling of deep peace.

Gratitud

      1. Aw… thank you! That’s lovely perspective, that animals are your “best teachers”. That’s the first time I heard that! I love that. Many say dogs are unconditionally loving. I see nature, specifically trees and such, as my teacher. ❤

        1. I agree with you on that one as well! Nature is one of our greatest teachers and trees are so very special friends as well. I think the more we expand our perspective the more we realize that there is something special in “ALL THAT IS”. and if we are open we can always learn from all the people we meet and all the animals, plants and stars and so on…. 🙂

          1. awwww yes!!!!! beautifully said. reminds me of the Confucius’s quote, “Everyone you will ever meet knows something you don’t.” Even plants, animals, stars are apart of life itself – we can all connect because of that. ❤
