A quote from Nisargadatta on “our words and on silence”

The moment you start talking you create a verbal universe, a universe of words, ideas, concepts and abstractions, interwoven and inter-dependent, most wonderfully generating, supporting and explaining each other and yet all without essence or substance, mere creations of the mind.

Words create words, reality is silent.

  1. True words of wisdom and insight by Nisargadatta Maharaj. For him to sit in silent is know who I AM.

    1. Exactly dear Kamal! Unfortunately, people seem to have lost the ancient art of silence, between technology and social media they are in a constant state of distraction, with their minds pulled in all directions, and short attention spans while multi- tasking… We need to take some time each day to go to the silence within…

      1. Yes I completely agree with you Amira, life has changed with so much social media no time to sit quietly and think within and our times were so beautiful no TV, no phone, no social media and we enjoyed with our family and friends. Today no one has time all busy with their mobile and virtual friends

        1. I agree with you dear Kamal! That’s why more than ever we need to regain our inner strength and peace, so our emotions are not manipulated by the media always making us focus on fear and terrible things, making us all live in anxiety, stress and chaos.
