In reality, time and space exist in you; you do not exist in them. They are modes of perception, but they are not the only ones. Time and space are like words written on paper; the paper is real, the words merely a convention.
Discard all you are not and go ever deeper.
Just as a man digging a well discards what is not water … so must you discard what is not your own, till nothing is left which you can disown.
You will find that what is left is nothing which the mind can hook on to. You are not even a human being.
You just are – a point of awareness, co-extensive with time and space and beyond both, the ultimate cause, itself uncaused.
If you ask me “Who are you?”, my answer would be: “Nothing in particular. Yet, I am.”
—Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj
Powerful and profound words of Reality by Nisargadatta Maharaj, Amira and the picture too is so perfect with the post. All a dream as he has to say but like Ramana Maharshi he says keep on asking yourself every moment WHO AM I.

Thank you dear Kamal. That is a profound comment you made. I fully agree with you because that is a powerful “trigger question” to start peeling at the layers of “labels” we have identified with all these years, we identify with the body, with our jobs, and all the roles we play in life, we think we are our nationality, etc… and yet we are not our bodies, we are not our jobs, or any of the “labels” we give our selves in this material impermanent world… 🙂 ❤

Yes I agree totally with your words Amira. As the masters who we are hearing and they telling us and giving their pearls of wisdom we come to know that we are nothing and here we have only come in a garb to play our roles and once karma is over have to move on. Everything is an illusion.👌👌👌👌

I very much appreciate dear Kamal your valuable contributions… as you said “here we come to play our roles” it reminds me of Shakespeare who said “the world is just a stage”… a classroom to learn our lessons, dressed up in flesh coats. 🙂

Yes as Shakespeare has put it so truly and we are all here to learn one step at a time. I think Amira this is my point of view that every time that we take a body is to learn something and take away something that is good for our Soul so that we come to know in the end that we were always One with the Oversoul and that we are Eternal and infinite. What say.😊😊😊😊🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Thank you so much Damodar for your visit and comment. Yes, his wisdom and teachings are very profound. I am slowly reading his book “I am that” which was recently recommended to me by my friend Kamal (above comments)

Yes, you should read it. More than a book, it is an account of inner state. It is a classic in the Indian subcontinent. It is about reality and not concerned with fiction. Everything around us , discerned by the senses is, in reality, fiction, not real!!

Yes, I agree Damodar. It is hard to understand this because everything through our senses appears to be so real to us,… but it’s all Maya. Even now quantum physics has come to the same conclusions the Masters spoke about since so long ago, nothing is solid as it seems! Thank you for your wisdom and your visit! 🙂
