MYSTICAL POEMS: “open the letter of the body’s life” by Rumi

unnamed.jpg65

Open the letter of the body’s life.

Inside the words, this body, your life, is a letter

to the king of the universe.

Go to a private place and open it and read to see if

the words are right.

If they are not, start another!

And do not think it is easy to open the body and read the secret message.

This is the most courageous work, not something

for children playing with knucklebones

in the dirt.

Open to the title page. Is what it says there the same as what you have said it says?

If you are carrying a heavy sack, empty out the stones!

Bring only what should be given.

  1. Outstanding letter that Rumi has so profoundly said. Let us carry nothing not even our own body and this is no game for the weak knead but for the brave soldier who perceives and goes towards the Oversoul to become His forever. Lovely and what a picture, Amira. Too good.

    1. Thank you so much dear Kamal for your profound comment! I fully agree with you. It’s probably one of the hardest things to do… peeling each layer of the onion of ourselves, to remove all no longer serves us, it takes courage and it’s so freeing! 🙂

      1. Yes Amira everything requires courage but once we take it like a challenge then nothing can stop us. Our desires can break and we can move one step ahead. You are always welcome dear Amira.

To truly to be honest with ourselves as we look within can be intimidating, but also freeing as we discover our true selves and learn to forgive ourselves as well! Great post Amira! Much love and many warm hugs,Linda

    1. I fully agree with you Linda, it’s scary and it takes much courage to look within, and to begin the process of peeling at the layers, healing and as you said, very importantly “forgiving ourselves”. Everything served its purpose and everything taught us valuable lessons, which is why we came here to learn and to grow… Much love back and big hugs ❤
