LONG, …LONG POEMS: “What is reality anyway?” by Amira (“”¿Qué es la realidad de todos modos?”)

“What is reality anyway?”

The skeptics say “I must see it to believe it”,

is not real if I can’t touch it, hear it, smell it or taste it…

Yet discoveries from science erudites

Affirm that 99.99% of our Universe is invisible to our sight…

In the electromagnetic spectrum, the “visible light”

Forms  a very small part,

Between infrared, radio and microwaves,

ultraviolet, X-rays, and gamma rays

which are all invisible to our sight

Even animals have more acute senses than humans,

A much sharper sense of smell and hearing we find in dogs and cats,

Echolocation is used by dolphins and bats,

Eagles have an amazing sight,

While bees can see ultraviolet light,

Other animals can better see in the dark…

Catfish live in murky waters,

so they have their bodies covered

in taste receptors as their next meal spotters

Our 5 senses are subjective

I might “taste” something I love, but you hate…

It all depends on  the things we resonate

And  on our perspectives

You could have synesthesia, and hear colors,

or mingle sight with sound, or taste with touch

Think of numbers and see their colors…

or see the sounds and taste the words…

Tetrachromats are the people who enjoy

a heightened  perception of color

We know that objects don’t actually have colors,

They give off light which “appear as colors”

And the human eye and brain translate light into color

So…this is something to ponder

Because colors exist only in the mind of the beholder!

We see a big ship as it departs, and soon in the distance

 it becomes smaller and smaller

until it reaches the horizon and then…

it goes out of existence!

Our views are formed

By our culture, experiences, beliefs, and education

And they can also be transformed

Thus reality is up for individual interpretation!

Human views are always relative

They may be tinted positive or negative

Influenced by new discoveries and information,

Or they may be specific to a nation…

They could be guided or misguided

depending on the interests and powers,

they can be sweet and inspirational ,or fearful and sour

they can also be manipulated and thus mold the minds of many…

All that we see, comes from the Unseen

Material objects appear solid

To our eyes and touch, yet don’t be too keen

It’s all vibrating energy moving at full speed!

Tesla made an affirmation:

“If you want to understand the Universe,

Think of energy, frequency and vibration

Keep that in mind next time your views you intersperse

Don’t be too sure you have the only truth

For  each  human perspective

must be respected,

as we  each hold a tiny piece of  understanding

which is always evolving and expanding

of this mysterious quantum reality

Remember the old parable of the blind men and the elephant,

Be more humble and less arrogant,

Our consciousness is just awakening

As new insights are growing

Let us all sense our true essence,

Love is our quintessence.

Make each day, a day filled with kindness,

joy, and gratitude, focused on our Oneness.

Because In our physical 3 D reality…

All that we see,

comes from the Unseen

And all that we are,

 comes from the One!

ultravioleta, rayos X y rayos gamma …

Amira

Wonderful words of wisdom Amira, so full insightful truth. ❤ ❤ ❤
I sometimes remind myself of how as a young adult I would look at a row of trees and if they were just in leaf (no blossom etc..) I would see them as just green. Then once I began opening up to nature, every year the beautiful shades and hues would continue to enhance as my perception developed. And now it is as though I live in a totally different world!

I guess 'lockdown' has given you more time to write 🙂 A blessing for us all! ❤
    Love, Light & Blessings ❤ ❤ ❤

    1. Yes, I agree with you Trina, in my experience it has been the same, maybe we are more observant of things now, more appreciative, and we start to notice “so many new shades of green”, it’s pretty amazing this beautiful world we call home… I wrote a few more poems, but some are either irrelevant to the times we are living through or they are too tinted by what is going through…will probably need editing, or maybe I will just post them as they are LOL…. Thank you for your ongoing encouragement! Much love, love and light back! ❤ ❤ ❤

A mind-blowing and wonderful post, dear Amira!! Your poetry is always so deeply metaphysical and draws the reader into it’s rich beauty! And, on a personal note, I loved the part where you spoke of light and color, because it took me back to my early childhood, when I use to sit on the ground and wonder if all people saw colors the same way! 🙂 Thank you for sharing this amazing post! ❤

You were a deep thinker even as a child, what a profound question to ask, and now science shows us that we don’t all the see things the same way…which would differ with the way we were taught in school. Children who did not “conform” were not understood…

🙂 We introverts had lots of thoughts in our heads, and most especially as children! ❤

  5. Thank you so much, my dear friend Amira 🙂
A good poetic analysis about what is reality? We want to see reality as a whole thing and we frame it according to our imagination and sensual organs. However, it is just a tiny fragment of the whole as you gave also the good example with the elephant and the blinds who all felt different parts and concluded according to what they felt, but the whole picture remains hidden in the Oneness- the drop has to merge so much in the Ocean that it is no longer separated as a drop but is connected with the whole. All that is outside is inside but not everything what is inside is outside. We are aware of the shadow of the “Whole Reality” and even this appears to us as a limited form. All depends on our point of view – we can see life and reality from so many different angles of view – the true reality is beyond our reasoning, our understanding as we are used to think in duality and with opposites. But can we think in Oneness? Suddenly all is different: life and death are no longer life and death – it is together something beyond, time and space make sense through movements and together they form Stillness, the moving changing things within the Ummovable? – so the reality we can grasp with our mind seems all a big illusion, which obviously follows the individual patterns of our own being – nothing is really then the same: blue in millions of different shades – but in general, we speak of colour blue – we all leave these fingerprints of understanding towards the reality called “elephant” – Life is like a kaleidoscopic illusion which changes its point of view within its millions of different possibilities. According to Tesla all is energy, vibration, frequency – I would even say everything is beyond our own expression, beyond all words as life and everything else is a big mysterium which we try to dress in words – in vain to describe something that is beyond our understanding…

We touch with our mind a kind of “primeval soup, substances of wordless words” and when we pull back our hand, we notice that it is empty…

Sure is that we are all connected with the same source as we all have the same consciousness separated into fragments, it seems we all are a Collective Consciousness. At one end it falls out of space and time to fall back at the other end to return into space and time…

Thank you very much for this brilliant idea, dear Amira that let us ponder about it.
    From heart to heart
    Didi

    1. Dear Didi:Thank you for this profound comment so full of wisdom! You are so right when you say that even our words cannot truly explain the great mystery unknown from our limited perspectives, what is beyond what our senses can describe, and what our limited minds can understand. There is truly much to ponder on this subject. I am delighted to have your valuable contribution to provide a context of understanding in this exploration of “reality”. Thank you dear friend! From heart to heart and in Oneness, Amira ❤

      1. Welcome, dear Amira 🙂
We all bring something together: a picture of the whole and so everyone, each person is unique, is a fragment to the whole 🙂
