LONG POEMS: “I cant’ breathe” said George Floyd… by Amira (“No puedo respirar”, dijo George Floyd)

“I cant’ breathe” said George Floyd

I can’t breathe said the man, his neck beneath a knee

deaf ears from witness officials

who have the motto “to serve and protect”

while their unnecessary violence and indifference was prejudicial

and cost an innocent life…

We feel for you the victims,

the families, brothers and sisters

we are with you in your sorrow, anger, and ongoing strife

Claiming for your equal rights

Don’t take your anger to loot and destroy,

Rise above in your protest

This brother’s life was not the first

But let us hope this is the LAST!

Justice must holdfast

The time has come for us to unite

As one Human RACE,

Mother earth is our birthplace

Let us all equality embrace!

Let’s begin with justice

To start the healing process

After hundreds of years of oppression

Let us end the cycle of aggression

And all racial or other types of discrimination

Let us learn once and for all the lesson…

And stop the violence, injustice, and transgressions

Of our brothers and our planet… and respect ALL life,

the true gift from the Divine!

Let us unite rather than divide

Respect rather than destroy

Work together in strides

for a world of peace for all to enjoy.

Let us start with the children, and the young

To learn new values, and to embrace

The concept of a multicolored “human race”,

No colors or distinctions except to celebrate

Each individual uniqueness,

Each a mosaic for humanity’s completeness.

May never again

Be tears, suffering and loss of innocent lives be in vain,

Let us awake to the injustices, let the light shine in

Let us all clearly SEE,

And each of us, take responsibility

For our actions, thoughts and words, to eradicate hostility

Prejudice, inequality, violence, injustice,

And let us be the change we want to see

Practicing love, kindness, compassion and peace!

Amira

“No puedo respirar”, dijo George Floyd

Prejuicio,  violencia, injusticia y desigualdad,

Amira

Bless you Amira for bringing forth such wonderful, heartfelt words of truth. ❤ ❤ ❤

At this time so much darkness is coming up for our healing Light and we are being given a chance to make a united change.

I feel that from a HIGHER PERSPECTIVE it is very significant that – the way this was actually filmed, his words of not being able to breath being so poignant at this moment of time, the video shown worldwide for us all to see – speaks to me of George Floyd being a beautiful Soul who chose to take this path of giving his life for the Higher Good of humanity, so this deeply entrenched persecution of race can no longer be ignored. – Blessings of Love, Honour, Peace and Gratitude to George.

As your poem speaks so well, it is time for us all to unite and heal ALL discrimination. Race has always been one that the elite have so easily manipulated to divide humanity. A divided people are easier to control and are so busy with each others stance that they fail to notice the manipulation. Also, anger, looting, revenge etc.. are old energies that have been programmed into minds to keep perpetuating discord.

The Great Awakening happening now is Uniting our world and bringing forth our New Earth of ‘love, kindness, compassion and peace!’ And George Floyd will live on in our hearts.

Thank you Amira for your eloquence ❤ ❤ ❤

    1. Thank you so much Trina for your comment and insight into this situation. I was like everyone else, very disturbed watching that video, but thankfully the video was made, so that no further evidence or words are needed… it’s all there for our eyes to see… A 2020 year for all humanity to clearly see all that needs to be seen, all our errors, and all that needs to be healed… I also felt he sacrificed himself as you said, so that his life would not be in vain, to lift humanity from the slumber of contempt and superficiality. Let’s hope we all wake up to justice, equality, and respect for one another and for our home “mother earth” who is also facing another extinction… every 20 minutes one more animal species is disappearing forever… while we remain indifferent…
Sending you much love and light and a big hug! ❤ ❤ ❤

  3. At this crucial time, these words are so inspiring and profound, Amira. We all have to work towards Unity and Oneness and selfishness that is so rampant has to go in order for the humanity to be selfless.

It sickening to say the least that this has been ongoing for generations, I guess the good thing to come from George Floyd’s death is that it’s now waking up an ignorant world. Thank you for sharing – please feel free to read my latest post too, and let me know what you think.

    1. I have read your blog and it was a heartbreaking incident of the many happening in our world… and you are so right, only a few of them are “seen” in the headlines… in the case of George Floyd, I think it was the video which was filmed, because nobody can now deny the evidence of a video, where no further words are needed and all eyes could see what really happened. Because the media and all sources of information are suppressed and manipulated, and we really know very little about what is truly going on in the world, even though we believe we are in the “age of information” . Thank you for your comment and for your blog to raise the awareness! ❤
