MYSTICAL POEMS: “As I move through the earth” by Hafiz

“As I move through the earth”

Do not
Want to step so quickly
Over a beautiful line on God’s palm
As I move through the earth’s

I do not want to touch any object in this world
Without my eyes testifying to the truth
That everything is
My Beloved.

Something has happened
To my understanding of existence
That now makes my heart always full of wonder
And kindness.

I do not
Want to step so quickly
Over this sacred place on God’s body
That is right beneath your
Own foot

As I
Dance with
Precious life

  1. Precious and profound poetry by the Great Perfect Master, Hafiz. You know Amira he was very black and ugly and had fallen in love with a beautiful girl and wished to have her as his wife. He would pray everyday to God for her hand and after sincere prayers God came to him one day and seeing his majestic beauty, Hafiz forgot the girl and went on the path to Godhood. On the way he met this Perfect Master who he served for 40 years and the Master made him slog like anything, not giving him food also to eat for days together but Hafiz never left him but served him till the end. In the end after 40 years his Master gave him the title of Divan E Hafiz, Perfect Master.

      1. Yes Amira he is an Epitome of Bliss and all his poems are only devoted to God. Even Rumi is very good but they say Hafiz was awesome. His book Divan E Hafiz will be beautiful to read.
