It’s Each Of Us!
I placed the votive candle,
Into it’s beautiful glass holder,
And noted how the frame,
In which the wax was held,
Was so badly bent and battered.
For a moment, I paused, wondering,
Was such a candle fit to light,
In Remembrance of The Beloved,
Framed in such imperfection,
So very far from “worthy”.
But lighting the poor fellow I saw,
There, the Radiant Flame,
Perfect and Beautiful in the Center,
Embodied as it was, in form,
Embraced in imperfection.
“It’s each of us!” I laughed,
As The Beautiful One Lit my Heart.
