“Photographs”

A split second of time
Frozen for all to see
Photographs are treasures
Capturing memories clearly

Beautiful scenes full of colour
People smiling having fun
Whether a garden in winter
Or an exotic paradise of sun

Our Earth is abundantly rich
Opulent beauty wherever you look
Landscapes, scenes and micro
Perfection in the photo you took

Celebrations wouldn’t be the same
Without the photos we create
Family history through generations
Times together that were great

None of us know the length
Of our time upon this Earth
Photographs can hold a wealth
Pure gold, not the paper’s worth

They aid our failing memory
With a delving knack
Little things we’d forgotten
All come flooding back

A visual link for our children
The only one they can see
Of those who came before them
Supporting their family tree

Sharing their treasured pictures
And the stories of their past
Brings them ‘back to life’
In our hearts to forever last

However, it’s even more important
Especially when ‘snapping’ a lot
To be present, there in the moment
Live in the reality, not just the shot

    1. My pleasure Trina! No, they are no mine, but I was trying to find one that would like like some of our family albums.<3
