“Life’s mystery in a Grain of Sand”
If starry space no limit knows
And sun succeeds to sun,
There is no reason to suppose
Our earth the only one.
‘Mid countless constellations cast
A million worlds may be,
With each a God to bless or blast
And steer to destiny.
Just think! A million or so
To guide each vital stream,
With over all to boss the show
A Deity supreme.
Such magnitudes oppress my mind;
From cosmic space it swings;
So ultimately glad to find
Relief in little things.
For look! Within my hollow hand,
While round the earth careens,
I hold a single grain of sand
And wonder what it means.
Ah! If I had the eyes to see,
And brain to understand,
I think Life’s mystery might be
Solved in this grain of sand.

Dear Amira,
Thanks for sharing 🙂
It is said that all tiny grains of sand taken together from all beaches of the world is even less than stars (suns) existing in the universe – and each star has again a number of planets and each planet a number of moons – so we cannot really imagine what this means – it goes beyond our understanding – in this comparison: we are a drop of the Ocean…
All the best

Oh wow! Our Universe is so magnificent and amazing dear Didi! As you said, it really goes beyond our understanding! There must also be infinite possibilities of Life!!! We truly are just a drop in the ocean! Thank you dear friend for your comment and insight ❤ 🙂 In Oneness, Amira

Welcome, my dear friend Amira 🙂
Indeed, the point of view is even relativ – we are on one hand a tiny tiny living being, the drop of the Ocean, an atom of the huge universe, but are ourselves an own universe (microcosm lies in the macrocosm) – we are, as we are from the same essence as that of God (our Soul) – Mini-Gods – but our mind is all the time trying to put blankets on this inner Light…

I never new that sand was so multifaceted! What a magnificent God we have to take such care in creating something beautiful out of something so minute !When we think of our own bodies how awesome they are, how the world does NOT believe in a divine creator is beyond me!! Great photos, Amira!

Exactly! The Divine expression is visible in everything to the smallest details, and the microscopic world is just as fascinating as the world we see with our eyes, the same as the majestic Cosmos…. the signature of God is in everything!!!! ❤ Thank you Linda for your beautiful and insightful comment! Much love and light! ❤
