Spirituality from Daily Word: “Earth Blessing” (Espiritualidad de La Palabra Diaria: “Bendición para la Tierra”)

Earth Blessing

My stewardship of the environment blesses future generations.

Today is Earth Day, a time set aside to celebrate this beautiful planet we call home. I honor and celebrate the seas, the skies, the sands, along with the plants and animals. Committed to caring for the earth, I not only continue my prayers for our environment, but I take wise actions today that allow my earth blessings to travel ahead into future generations.

While I am only one caretaker of the earth, I know that how I treat the earth makes a difference. I do my part by caring for and respecting creatures great and small. Day by day, I am mindful of how my actions affect the earth and its inhabitants.

  1. Beautiful post. I’m taking a Earth Science class at “Ohio Christian University” which I thought would be boring. Boy was I wrong! Studying about the Creators creation and how it came to be, and still is fascinates me. However, “the many different ways that humans have failed to lovingly steward over the environment is disappointing. Be that as it may, we still have reason to celebrate this beautiful planet. I enjoyed reading your post.

    1. Thank you so much dear friend for your insightful comment! Your class sounds amazing! It’s so true that we are not the best guardians of our beautiful planet which is our home and a blessed gift to be protected…and so worthy of celebration and gratitude! Much love, Amira ❤

When you think about how intricate God made everything in this world it’s so amazing! I don’t understand how people can think it all happened with a big bang! Evey plant and creature has an unique purpose! That’s not by accident but by divine plan and design! We need to be better stewards of the gift our creator has given to us! P.S. Shawn’s birthday is on earth day! Love and blessings,Linda.

    1. This is so true Linda! Life on earth expressed in such a variety of forms and beauty, a mystery in itself, could not possibly be “an accident”, it’s by Divine design to the most minute detail! Science is beginning to realize that the Big Bang theory is very wrong! I had no idea that Shawn’s BD was on Earth Day!!! I will send him a card, and will always remember now! Thanks for letting me know! Much love and blessings back to you! ❤
