POEMS: “THEY ARE LIKE TREES” by Zaza @ Scribeforlove (re-blogged)

Beautiful! ❤

Trees by Joyce Kilmer

I think that I shall never see

A poem lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is pressed

Against the earth’s sweet flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God all day.

And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in Summer wear

A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon Whose bosom snow has lain;

Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,

But only God can make a tree.

“Blessed are those who walk hand in hand with goodness…they are like trees planted by streams of water, that yield fruit in due season…”  Psalm 1

…Blessed is Joyce Kilmer for this exquisite poem…

…may we be like him to bear good fruit during our lifetime…

  1. My dear Amira,

    This reminds me of reading books – but we cannot squeeze out the reality from books. For exemple, you read a book about water – not even one drop of water we are able to squeeze out of it….

    Thanks for sharing, dear friend

  2. Yes only God can make a Tree and what a beautiful and lovely picture of this huge tree and a little boy sitting there. Awesome poetic words of true bliss on a Tree, Amira.
