POEMS: “Inner Beauty”…

Never trust a mirror,

it only shows you what is skin deep.

You can’t see how your eyelids flutter,

when you are drifting off to sleep.

It doesn’t show you what the world sees,

when you are only being you.

Or how your eyes just light up,

when you are loving what you do.

It doesn’t capture when you are smiling,

where no one else can see;

and your reflection cannot  tell you

everything you mean to me.

Never trust a mirror,

for it only shows your skin,

and if you think it dictates your worth,

it’s time you look within.

    1. I totally agree with you Linda! It’s the inner beauty that is a loving balm for others, what truly matters. Our society is so fixated on outer appearances, and all exterior things which are superficial and only skin deep.
      Our goal should be to strive to connect with our higher Divine guidance through our heart as you said. Love and blessings back to you dear sister ❤
