“THE 12 LAWS OF THE UNIVERSE”
Most people are familiar with the Law of Attraction because of the movie “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne as well as many other books written on the subject. Also the Law of Karma is pretty well known as “we reap what we sow”. However, there are other Universal Laws that are just as equally important and it is to our own benefit to become familiarized with them.
Law of Divine Oneness: Physical reality is energy vibrating at different frequencies that our minds perceive as matter. Everything in the Universe is connected to everything else. We are all brothers and sisters with a divine nature. What we think, say, do and believe will have a corresponding effect on others and the universe around us. Everything is energy; your thoughts, emotions and even actions are energy that affect other energy. Therefore, what you decide to focus on will attract other energies that are vibrating at the same frequency.
Namaste: In it’s literal translation “I bow to you” what it truly means is “I honor the place in you where the light of God abides – when I am in that place in me and you are in that place in you – there is one of us”. In other words – all things are connected and we are all one. All life, all energy comes from one source. You are not a tiny, insignificant drop in a vast ocean. Your goal is to learn to see the ocean within the drop.
2. Law of Vibration: Everything in the Universe moves, vibrates and travels in circular patterns, the same principles of vibration in the physical world apply to our thoughts, feelings, desires and wills in the Etheric world. Each sound, thing, and even thought has its own vibrational frequency, unique unto itself. modern science has already proven many of these laws, but these laws have a huge relevance to our lives, not just the “science world out there”.
We are able to intuitively sense the energies around objects, places, other people etc. The law of vibration tells us we must align our energy with what we want to attract. We do this through the power of our emotions, and our thoughts, which we can choose to redirect at any moment. Feelings and thoughts combined are powerful things!
A good lesson here is learn to let go! If something irritates you – bless it for teaching you a lesson in spiritual wisdom and let it go. Don’t hold onto grudges, past hurts, and negativity; it only holds you down in your own prison of self- judgements and criticisms. Free yourself & open yourself to new and more positive experiences.
3. Law of Action:
Law of Action – Must be employed in order for us to manifest things on earth. We must engage in actions that supports our thoughts dreams, emotions and words. This rule states that you must facilitate the other laws with inspired action.
4. Law of Correspondence:
Law of Correspondence – This Universal Law states that the principles or laws of physics that explain the physical world energy, Light, vibration, and motion have their corresponding principles in the etheric or universe “As above, so below”. This law states that your outer world reflects your inner world. Simply stated, you are destined to experience what you think about and your world reflects this to you back, every day. If you want to change external circumstances in your life, you must change your inner world first.
Don’t allow fear to control your life. There is too much fear-porn on TV nowadays, all the headlines of the news emphasize & magnify the most horrible news from the planet in an instant, and out of context, we start to fear and believe that our world is full of crime and disasters when in reality the majority of the 7 billion people in the world , are like you and me, living normal lives, anonymously trying to do our best, and make our little corner of the Universe a better place; (of course these news never make it to the front pages).
5. Law of Cause and effect:
Law of Cause and Effect – Nothing happens by chance or outside the Universal Laws.. Every Action (including thought) has a reaction or consequence (Karma, The Golden Rule, or “we reap what we sow”).
Like attracts like. Positive energies will attract more positive energies and vice versa.
6. Law of Compensation:
Law of Compensation– The Universal Law is the Law of Cause and effect applied to blessings and abundance that are provided for us. The visible effects of our deeds are given to us in gifts, health, money, inheritances, friendships and blessings.
You get back what you give to others. There is a saying “misery loves company”. It means that when you are miserable, you tend to attract other people who are also miserable as well as circumstances that keep you immersed in your self pity, and it becomes a vicious circle that feeds on itself.
I had a hard time understanding certain parts of the Bible, thinking that there seem to be so unfair…like in the quotes below, why would you take away from someone who already has very little? However, when you understand the Divine Laws of the Universe everything makes sense. Jesus and Buddha tried to teach us these same truths.
“In Mark 4: 25: Jesus said, ”Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.” Also in Matthew 13:12 “For whoever has, to him more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has shall be taken away from him. Furthermore Luke 19:26 “I tell you that to everyone who has, more shall be given, but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away.”
Fortunately, the opposite is true! If you want to receive more of something in your life; be what you want to see! Give freely to others what you would like to receive, without attachment or expectations.
7. Law of attraction:
Law of Attraction – Demonstrates how we create the things, events and people that come into our lives Our thoughts, feelings, words, and actions produce energies which, in turn attract like energies. Negative energies attract negative energies and positive energies attract positive energies.
The Buddha said “All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think, we become.” In Mark 11:24, Jesus says “Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you.” In Mathew 7:7-9 he says “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you… For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. … Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone?…” All these are biblical quotes spoken by Jesus clearly stating that God (or the Universe, Creator, Universal Mind, Pure Consciousness or whatever term you want to use) will not give you something different from what you want, when you truly focus on it with an open heart.
Entertaining negative, destructive, and self-sabotaging thoughts will bring them to reality as a “self-fulfilling prophecy”
8. The law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy:
The Law of Perpetual Transmutation of Energy – All persons have within them the power to change the conditions of their lives. Higher vibrations consume and transform lower ones; thus, each of us can change the energies in our lives by understanding the Universal Laws and applying the principles in such a way as to effect change.
Energy is in constant motion and all energy eventually manifests. This law also states that you have the power to change your life. Higher vibrational energies consume lower energies, so if you don’t like the path you are on – change it, or more importantly “allow” it to be changed.
Rather than try to “force your will” on people or circumstances, rearrange the way you think and choose to empower yourself. Go with the flow in the river of life. Resistance is futile and it makes life a constant struggle. Learn to embrace change, work with energies and “allow” circumstances & opportunities, to manifest. Let your ego (which is fear based in nature) with its false sense of control, stay out of the way.
9. Law of relativity:
Each person will receive as series of problems (Tests or Lessons) for the purpose of strengthening the light within. Each of these tests/lessons bring a challenge so we must remain connected to our hearts (inner guidance) when proceeding to solve problems. This law also teaches us to compare our problems to other’s problems into its proper perspective. No matter how bad we perceive our situation to be, there is always someone who is in a worse position. Its all relative. Nothing is good, bad, big, small, etc. until it has been experienced and compared to something else.
Life happens for you, not to you.
Learn to see hardships as stepping stones, rather than stumbling blocks.
10. Law of Polarity:
Law of Polarity – Everything is on a continuum and has and opposite. We can suppress and transform undesirable thoughts by concentrating on the opposite pole. It is the law of mental vibrations. there is opposition in all things (duality). We appreciate light in the darkness, joy in the sorrow, and companionship in solitude. Without one the other would not exist and one is created out of the absence of the other . Like the Chinese concept of Ying and Yang (of cold and hot, white and black, night and day, male and female, etc) describes how seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world, and how they may give rise to each other as they interrelate to one another. So when something is not working for you, direct your attention to its opposite, and you will be empowered.
11. Law of Rhythm:
Law of Rhythm – Everything vibrates and moves to certain rhythms.. These rhythms establish seasons, cycles, stages of development, and patterns. Each cycle reflects the regularity of God’s Universe. “What comes around goes around, and what goes up must come down.” Each cycle is a reflection of the regularity of the universe. To master each rhythm, you must rise above any negative part of the cycle & stay in flow throughout these rhythms of life.
12. Law of gender or Law of Gestation :
Law of Gender – The law of gender manifests in all things as masculine and feminine. It is this law that governs what we know as creation. The law of gender manifests in the animal kingdom as sex. This law decrees everything in nature is both male and female. Both are required for life to exist. It states that when we plant a seed (masculine / yang), it requires time and nurturing to grow and manifest (feminine / ying). Patience and persistence are necessary to succeed.
These laws help us understand the greatness of the Universe , as we become conscious co-creators of our own life and we are empowered to direct our thoughts and intentions to create our reality. Awareness and mindfulness will help you open you to the infinite possibilities.
