POEMS: “What is the Next Step?” by Margaret Jang

What is the Next Step?

With bewilderment you ask, “What is the next step?”
which sounds almost like an impatient plea.
Because right now you’re feeling lost and out of sync,
and struggling within for what you cannot clearly see.

You are lost in a moment of time,
feeling caught between the future and the past.
And the direction that once seemed so very clear,
now waivers with uncertainty with signs that it won’t last.

However, life is all about growth and learning,
therefore it is impossible to remain exactly the same.
Certain change must take its natural course,
without causing regret or laying any blame.

“What is the next step?” is a simple question to ask,
but nobody, except you, has the answers that you seek.
And the only way that you can discover this,
is to make a safe haven for the three minds to meet.

To answer your question, “What is the next step?”
requires a strong connection to the universal mind.
That melds to the minds of subconscious and conscious selves,
to expose truthful awareness that isn’t barred by time.

From birth until death, “What is the next step?”
is a question that will surface many times.
But it’s a long journey that must be travelled alone,
where each step gets closer to what your soul searches to find.

For those who live in dismal clutter or without balance,
the answers will be locked within the muddle of their thoughts.
And, “What is the next step?” will remain beyond their reach,
until peaceful re-alignment is ultimately sought.

Then, ´What is the next step?” won’t be a mystery anymore,
because the right answer will become crystal clear.
In which the next step produces trust and contentment,
that override any feelings of resistance or fear.
