POEMS: “Walking with Grandma”

an older post 🙂

I like walking with Grandma,

her steps are soft like mine.

She doesn’t say “now hurry up”;

she always takes her time.

I like to walk with Grandma,

her eyes see things like mine do,

wee pebbles bright,

a funny cloud,

half hidden drops of dew.

Most people have to hurry,

they do not stop to see.

I am glad that God made Grandma

unrushed and young like me!

    I have this one on my site too, I love it and it’s so true! My children and grandchildren have gotten used to me being the slowest at walking out in nature, the great thing is you can tell the little ones about hugging trees and noticing shapes and colours etc.. and they just join in with you! I usually take at least 100 photos each time too, but as they get a little older they are now taking nature pictures too. 🙂

    1. That’s so beautiful! I also love taking pictures when I go to nature, even in the garden. Is like you can capture that beauty at that instant, and see it later, at anytime you want. Also, some of my fondest memories are the times I had with my grandma…:)
