“Masterpiece

I may not be a sculptor
Who chisels works of art
I may not be a painter
Whose brushstrokes touch the heart

I may not use a pencil
With talent or prowess
I may not yield a crayon
With guaranteed success

But if you see my garden
You’ll surely know it’s true
With a little help from heaven
I’ve a masterpiece on view.

Thanks for sharing this one Amira, it made me think of my mum. Throughout her life she has always loved to create a garden wherever she moved to (there were quite a lot of moves!) It’s always where she has been at her happiest and felt closer to God. She will be 80 soon and is only recently started to let go of ‘working’ in a garden, but she still has a little patch to nurture and enjoy. Her gardens have been a great source for my photographs too!

    1. Oh, that is awesome! I can totally relate to your mum! I had to move so many times in my life… and every time it was a place with only weeds…but I got the joy to see the transformation into a beautiful garden, and it truly is my oasis where I enjoy sitting in the mornings to get inspired, and in the evenings. Each day, brings a new bloom, a new friendly bird… the miracle of life unfolding in front of my eyes! I also enjoy taking pictures of each of the new blooms…That’s what is bringing your mum infinite joy! Even if she cannot garden much now, she will always enjoy the nurturing of nature.
Thank you for sharing dear friend. Please send a big hug to your mum from another fellow garden lover ❤

Yes, I will give her a hug from you! I told her all about you and our ‘meeting’ last week, so I know she’ll be delighted to know you are a garden creator too! She has taught me and I do dabble, but I don’t have the love for it that she has. I do enjoy watching things bloom and grow .but apart from appreciating the beauty and photographing.. I’d much rather be writing!

        1. LOL!!! I have simplified much lately with our last downsizing, I use mostly pots now at different heights, and rotate them as they bloom.
I’m so glad to hear about your mum, she puts a smile on my face ❤
